Paintball Exhibits at the "SHOT Show" 1st time!

You’re probably aware by now that paintball is said to be ‘the fastest growing extreme sport in the world’. 

Statistics also show that a number of firearm retailers are beginning to carry paintball supplies. 

In fact, 2005 was the first year that paintball had a major presence at the 2005 SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Tradeshow).  

Doug Painter, the president of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) was quoted as saying “Paintball has never been a part of the SHOT Show. 

"But obviously the SHOT Show exists to serve the firearm retail community, and as we have all seen, paintball has grown tremendously. We felt it was appropriate to include it in the SHOT Show."

At the 2005 SHOT Show, there was a separate 5,000-square-foot paintball section.

According to Painter, as soon as NSSF announced paintball would be welcome at the show, paintball companies began calling.  For the 2006 SHOT Show 15 paintball dealers have already registered to exhibit.   What effect this will have on the future of paintball is anybody’s guess.
