Who would have ever thought?

There have been very few comprehensive books written about paintball game play largely because the game is ever changing and continues morphing into the next phase.  There was only one national league in the U.S. as late as 2001. 

Now, there are 3 national paintball competition leagues.  That is not the only thing that has changed about paintball gaming in the past few years.  It seems the internet and word of mouth is the true way to keep paintball players up to date about the game strategies and hot equipment.

Who would have thought when you look back through 20 + years of paintball play, that the game of paintball has become the game of tech heads and geeks?

Imagine if in the year 2000 you had gone out to the paintball tournament ready to scope out the paintball field to find out which side seemed to have the best advantage as far as open space, good trees to hide behind, the least mud, etc.

Instead you find you’re starting out with your back against a wall, nothing in front of you but a big dirt field, some trenches and some wooden cable spools or a hay bale or two!   In 2001, the entire NPPL/PSP season was played with no woods fields at all!
